Hosted by the CAJ (Canadian Association of Journalists) the GIJC was a 3 day conference for journalists from around the world to meet and discuss ways to improve investigative reporting internationally. The subjects covered during the workshops ranged from global terrorism to government corruption, as well as practical tools for the field such as CAR (Computer Assisted Reporting). Highlights from the event included keynote speakers: Maher Arar, Lowell Bergman, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Sally Armstrong.
