Election Day 2008.
Across Canada citizens are using their democratic right and heading to the polls to voice their concerns in this country’s 40th general election. Conservatives, Liberals, New Democrats, Greens and the Bloc (Quebec) are all hoping to garner support and send as many of their candidates to Ottawa. The leaders of the big three parties- Harper, Dion and Layton are all vying to become Canada’s 29th Prime Minister, a job that will immediately have global implications because it’s the first country to have a federal election during the current market crisis.
