‘Yes We Can’

Today will go down in history books as a day when millions of Americans went to the polls with one thing in mind. Change. Not only will they be electing the first black U.S. president but they will be giving their country the hope and change that Barack Obama stands for.

A drastic shift in their mentality made them get up and wait for long periods of time just to cast a ballot in this presidential election. Many knowing the significance of this vote, stood up to be counted and came through with the challenge.

Now it’s up to Obama to carry out his plan of revolutionizing politics in America and the world will be behind him in his quest for stability in an ever-increasingly hostile environment.

It’s just too bad Canadians weren’t able to find someone to stand up for their values and reassure them that if they voted there problems would be solved. Idealistic? Maybe.
