Post-election blues

Okay, it’s been only a week since the municipal election in Montreal and I’m already anticipating the next political squabble. Tommorrow, federal by-elections are happening across the country, including one here in the city’s east-end Hochelaga. But that doesn’t give me the dose I need of the drama on the hustings….

On the subject of drama, man that was quite the mayoralty race. I’m glad it’s over, so that every Montrealer can stop pointing fingers at the elected representatives of the city. Looks like everyone is on the dole here. Hand-outs at City Hall and accusations of corruption were thrown around like it’s nothing new.

So I covered Union Montreal last Sunday. here’s my report called ‘Montreal: Rottenest City on the continent (again).’

It got some play in the blogosphere with Gazette blogger Fagstein mentioning me and the piece on Friday.
