Guerrilla Gardening

Since it’s now spring in Montreal, everywhere there are colourful plants and wonderful smells. This city changes drastically from the whiteness of winter and snow to the colour of spring and summer. It makes me realize how much I love Montreal, so I wanted to do something about the unsung heroes going around, without pay or recognition, planting flowers and vegetables. These people are called guerrilla gardeners, their objective is to find an unused urban space and seedbomb it until something comes to life. Frowned upon in public by city officials, they may soon come to realize that this isn’t destruction of property, but helping beautify Montreal one plant at a time.
