Nick of Montreal: Nick de Montréal. A film about Nick Auf der Maur

A film I did for a documentary production class about Montreal’s legendary ‘boulevardier’ Nick Auf der Maur. I thought it was time to re-upload it in its entirety, because I first posted it as two parts, because the first was for class, then I continued and finished the second half on my own time. I always heard stories about Auf der Maur and his antics as a journalist and city hall politician, so I thought why not try to put together a short documentary and have those closest to him relive the Auf der Maur legend. I hope future generations who want to learn more about this exceptional Montrealer can watch this film and gain a better understanding of what he was all about. Auf der Maur was a man who loved his city with a passion and gave his life to make it a better place. Even more than that, he had a great time doing it.
